“Another milestone in the history of Mulanje Mission Hospital”

“Another milestone in the history of Mulanje Mission Hospital” said Tabu Gonani in her welcoming speech to guests at the dedication and official opening of the hospital’s High Dependency Unit on 19th September. It was a colourful occasion with guests from CCAP Blantyre Synod, the Beit Trust, Mulanje DHO and the community, dancing and singing by hospital staff, speeches and tours of the new unit. The unit was dedicated by Rev Roy Zingani, and the ribbon was cut by Sir Andrew Pocock of the Beit Trust.
Our grateful thanks to all our partners in this endeavour: the Beit Trust, the English Reformed Church Amsterdam with contributions from Rotary and Wilde Ganzen, Brothers Brother in the USA and the DAK Foundation in Australia.
And our thanks to all those MMH planners, managers, clinicians, nurses, cleaners, ground labourers, colleagues from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital whose fantastic teamwork has ensured that we are now ready to provide this new service for our patients.

Guests of honour – from L to R, Sir Andrew Pocock, Rev Zingani, Rev Kanjerwa, Mr David Long
